In anticipation of the large volume of Guests that visit Walt Disney World during the holiday season, Disney has released new opening and closing times for Animal Kingdom on days sure to draw big crowds. The Park will open earlier and/or stay open later for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day, as well as for the days leading up to and directly following the holidays.
During Thanksgiving Week:
- November 25, 30: Park Hours Extended to 9 PM (Previously 8 PM)
- November 26, 27, 29: Park Hours Extended to 8 AM (Previously 9 AM) and 9 PM (Previously 8 PM)
Leading up to Christmas Day through New Year’s Eve:
- December 22, 24, 25: Park Hours Extended to 9 PM (Previously 8 PM)
- December 23, 26, 27, 28: Park Hours Extended to 8 AM (Previously 9 AM) and 9 PM (Previously 8 PM)
- December 29, 30: Park Hours Extended to 8 AM (Previously 9 AM) and 11 PM (Previously 8 PM)
- December 31: Park Hours Extended to 12 AM (Previously 8 PM)
For the Beginning of the New Year:
- January 1: Park Hours Extended to 9 PM (Previously 8 PM)
- January 2, 3, 4: Park Hours Extended to 8 AM (Previously 9 AM) and 9 PM (Previously 8 PM)
- January 7: Park Hours Reduced to 6 PM (Previously 8 PM)
The addition of more Park Hours will provide Guests at Disney’s Animal Kingdom more time to experience the debut of both new entertainment and decor this 2019 holiday season.
