When Gran Destino opens later this summer, guests will not only get to be the first to stay at this elegant new addition to Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, they will also get to experience the Disney debut of an innovative TV system.
Utilizing a technology similar to that tested with smart speakers at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, guests at Gran Destino will virtually have their own personal assistant, ready to provide WDW park hours, bus information, and even their PhotoPass photos – right in their resort rooms!
In addition, guests can choose from a collection of seven free On-Demand Disney movies, and have the potential to stream Hulu subscription content and Disney+ when it premieres in November.
Available to guests at the Gran Destino Tower upon its grand opening, these smart TV systems will be rolled out throughout the rest of Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort in the next few months, and eventually, all of the resort rooms at WDW will be updated with this new interactive technology. This system will be compatible with both Apple and Android devices, as well as with most laptops.
Spanish, Portuguese and Japanese programming is projected to be available across WDW Resorts in the years to come.
