Walt Disney World added to their list of Coronavirus-related updates on their website today, clarifying yesterday’s announcement that their Summer Free Dining offer would be extended to most Guests with previously-booked vacation packages or room reservations that had to cancel due to the Resort’s closure.
This information now appears under the “Disney Resort Rooms and Packages” tab on the “Update on Walt Disney World Operations” page:
Guests who had previously booked a Disney vacation package or room reservation to stay at a Disney Resort hotel from March 16-May 31, 2020 may now reserve a vacation package that includes accommodations at a Disney Park hotel, park admission and a Disney dining plan. This special offer is valid for arrivals most night nights from June 1 until September 30, 2020, and must be booked by May 31. This offer is not valid for reservations cancelled prior to March 1, 2020.
Annual Passholders who had to cancel their vacation plans due to the Walt Disney World closure can also take advantage of the Free Dining offer. AP’s must still purchase the minimum 2-day tickets required, but the cost of the tickets can be applied towards the renewal or purchase of an Annual Pass.
