On Monday night, November 16, there will be fireworks testing at Magic Kingdom for two hours after the park closes. Walt Disney World issued the following “community update” today, which was shared by Ashley Carter of Spectrum News 13 on Twitter:
Although the alert may be simply to inform WDW’s neighbors of potential noise from general fireworks testing, there is some speculation that the testing could be for the Magic Kingdom’s 50th anniversary nighttime spectacular, permits for which were filed by Disney in early August. The show, codenamed “Project Nugget,” is scheduled to debut on October 1, 2021.
