As we reported yesterday, Disney has just announced that traditional character meet and greets will begin returning to Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Aulani, and Disney Cruise Line on April 18, 2022. Not all locations will open at once, with more locations being brought online throughout the spring and summer.
No word has been given yet as to when Character Dining will return, although we’d assume it won’t be far behind.
Disney had this to say:
“During the past two years, we’ve taken a very gradual, intentional approach to health and safety protocols. Recent trends and guidance have provided opportunities for us to bring back some of our most beloved magic, like character greetings and dining experiences. While not all locations will be available immediately, we anticipate reopening in phases throughout the spring and early summer.”
