Hong Kong, November 16, 2023 – The world’s first “Frozen” themed land, World of Frozen, is set to officially open, and a grand celebration was held in anticipation. This event, titled “A Spectacular Celebration of World of Frozen,” welcomed guests globally to experience the kingdom of Arendelle. The celebration included special guests like Robert Iger, CEO of The Walt Disney Company; Josh D’Amaro, Chairman of Disney Experiences; Jill Estorino, President of Disney Parks International; Michael Moriarty, Managing Director of Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, and Jennifer Lee, Chief Creative Officer at Walt Disney Animation Studios and the Oscar-winning writer/director of “Frozen” and “Frozen 2.”
Iger highlighted the success of the “Frozen” franchise and Disney’s century-long commitment to storytelling and creativity. D’Amaro expressed excitement about the immersive experience, emphasizing the detailed work done by Imagineers in collaboration with the Disney Animation team. Jennifer Lee, the key creative force behind “Frozen,” shared her amazement and inspiration at seeing World of Frozen come to life, representing the artists who worked on the “Frozen” films.
The celebration took place along the Bay of Arendelle, featuring performances by the Royal Choir of Arendelle and a lighting show with drones that created imagery inspired by “Frozen” movies. The event also had Elsa casting her Ice Magic, the appearance of Olaf, and Queen Anna opening the gates of Arendelle. World of Frozen will open on November 20, offering guests an immersive experience and lasting memories.
