In a thrilling announcement that will delight horror fans around the world, Universal Destinations & Experiences (UDX) has revealed that it is bringing its first-ever year-round horror experience, Universal Horror Unleashed, to Las Vegas in 2025. Known for creating the global sensation Halloween Horror Nights, UDX is now planning a permanent fixture for fans of terror to enjoy all year.
Nestled in a darkened warehouse on the edge of Las Vegas, Universal Horror Unleashed promises a relentless spectacle of horror, where guests can explore four haunted houses, each filled with bone-chilling experiences. The haunted attractions include “Universal Monsters,” “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre,” “Scarecrow: The Reaping,” and Blumhouse’s “The Exorcist: Believer.” These haunted houses are not for the faint-hearted, offering an intensity that will immerse visitors in terrifying tales brought to life by the masters of horror.
“Universal’s rich history in the creation of the horror genre drove our desire to bring a year-round horror experience to the incredible entertainment offerings in Las Vegas,” said Page Thompson, President of New Ventures for UDX. “We’re thrilled to have our award-winning Creative and Entertainment teams working tirelessly to bring these terrors to life in 2025.”
But the fear doesn’t stop at the haunted houses. Surrounding these spine-chilling attractions are four themed immersive areas that include unique live entertainment, eerie eateries, and bars offering horror-themed food and drink options. Fans can also look forward to must-see seasonal events and exclusive merchandise. Universal Horror Unleashed aims to deliver a continuously evolving horror experience, ensuring that each visit brings something new and terrifying.
Universal Horror Unleashed, initially announced in 2023, will be the anchor tenant in a 20-acre expansion of AREA15, an immersive entertainment district in Las Vegas. With this new venture, UDX aims to introduce horror to broader audiences in new markets, adding another layer to the already impressive entertainment offerings of Las Vegas.
Universal has long been synonymous with horror, thanks to classic films featuring iconic monsters like Frankenstein, The Mummy, and the Wolf Man. With Universal Horror Unleashed, the company intends to bring these nightmares to life in a full-scale, immersive setting.
