A Southern California man jumped out of Space Mountain at Disneyland Park on Tuesday afternoon. He was uninjured and was guided to safety by Cast Members and then walked himself to first aid where he was taken to the hospital for a precautionary exam.
According to Anaheim Police Sargent Daron Wyatt, “He didn’t fall out,” Wyatt said. “He had to maneuver himself around the safety mechanism.” The individual had cognitive disabilities, although police do not know the individuals name because their was no injury.
Disneyland officials contacted DOSH, the state agency that inspects them park attractions, and they are currently inspecting the attraction and it remains closed until further notice. Disneyland officials further stated that the guest’s lap bar remained engaged and that the man “used force to maneuver his way out of the vehicle.”
