According to Orange County mayor Jerry Demings, Disney is going to submit their reopening plan for his approval next week. Once Mayor Demings signs onto the plan, it will then go to Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
In an interview with CNBC the mayor said that “Disney has given an indication that next week, they will submit their plans, and once they do, then we will schedule that for a full briefing before our Economic Recovery Task Force as well. So at this point, it’s an undefined time or date, but we do look forward to seeing that sometime next week.”
This does not mean, however, that Disney will publicly announce this next week. It would not be a huge surprise if a date did come out next week.
