I just learned of the passing of my friend Eddie Sotto. Disney fans know him as one of the seminal theme park designers of our time contributing to numerous beloved theme park staples at Disney and around the world, but those of us who knew him will remember his kindness and generosity. When I think of Eddie, I'll remember how, in his last months and weeks, he showed such genuine concern for how I was handling a difficult period in my own life. The last thing he said to me during what would be our final multi-hour chat was, "We'll have to do this again soon."
Eddie had a deep and abiding faith and is surely at rest in the presence of his all-loving Creator. And although it's a sad day for all of us, it's a joyful day in Heaven as Eddie is welcomed home.
