On August 5th animation fans will get their first glimpse at former Pixar titan John Lasseter’s work at his new digs at Skydance Animation in “Luck.”
“Luck” has all the charm and heart of Lasseter’s most beloved films, “Toy Story” and “Cars” and even some familiar voices, John Ratzenberger returns as a supporting character.
The film invites viewers into the Land of Luck, a magical world where all the world’s luck is created, populated by bunnies, cats, leprechauns, and more. What’s more, no human has ever entered this magical world, until Sam Greenfield (voiced by Eva Noblezada) comes along.

Eva is fantastic as the voice of Sam, bringing her trademark good natured charm to the delightfully earnest but dreadfully unlucky character who finds her way into the Land of Luck while trying to help a friend find her Forever Family.
Family, particularly found family, is a major theme that underpins the entire movie handled with the tact and grace typical of any project Lasseter puts his hands on.
This movie is a must-see for any animation fan.
