While no official announcement from Disney has been made, it seems very likely that the new attraction coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios in 2019 will also be heading to Mickey’s Toontown in Disneyland Park. Construction permits among other evidence have fans excited that Mickey and Minnie’s very first dedicated attraction will be appearing in other parks.
Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway attraction will not take over existing attraction space in Toontown, rather it will absorb some backstage areas and the existing Gag Factory shop.
A construction timeline for the Disneyland project is unknown at this time. We do expect Disney to make the official announcement soon. Some are anticipating the announcement during the D23 Destination D event in Florida on Mickey and Minnie’s 90th birthday, November 18th.
