According to reports, Disney is testing in-room Smart Speakers (like Amazon Echo or Google Home devices). We currently can’t confirm what assistant is built into these speakers, but it will likely be Alexa or Google Assistant.
These speakers work just like the ones guests may have in their own homes, except they will have access to information stored in My Disney Experience, like wait times, bus arrival times, and park hours. The speakers can also play music on demand as well as answer questions about the weather. We assume, but can’t confirm that other Smart Assistant features will be available as well such as the ability to play news broadcasts from sources like NPR, BBC, Fox News, CNN, and more.
Guests can opt out and have the smart speaker disabled.
