Beginning this summer, guests to the Toyko Disney Resort will be able to acquire FastPasses via the resort’s mobile app.
This free system “gives visitors prior approval to enter popular attractions at designated times at Tokyo Disney Resort, which consists of Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea, in Urayasu, Chiba Prefecture” according to the Asahi Shimbun, a paper in Japan
According to the Oriental Land Co., the operator of the Tokyo Disney Resort, the resort will flip the switch on the smartphone system before Soarin’ opens at Tokyo DisneySea on July 23.
Of course, paper FastPasses will continue to be available for the 18 attractions that accept them, like Splash Mountain and Toy Story Mania!. Lines at Toyko Disney Resort are notoriously long, especially those to meet various Disney characters.
