Streamlined Direct-to-Room Online Check-in and “Service Your Way” Part of New My Disney Experience App Update

In its continuing efforts to make the check-in experience for Walt Disney World Guests both quicker and more personalized, Disney released a major update to the My Disney Experience app. Guests opting to bypass the traditional front desk check-in upon their arrival at their Disney Resort will find additional features and a new interface on the My Disney Experience app to walk them through that process. The MDE app provides Guests with a “Direct-To-Room” video to help them understand how to use online check-in prior to their arrival, so that they may go right to their room, using their Magic Bands or the app itself to open the door.

In addition, the landing page for each Disney Resort hotel has been updated to provide even more information for Disney Guests.

Guests may also now decline room service during their Walt Disney World Resort stay directly through the My Disney Experience app. As part of the “Service Your Way” program, Guests choosing to forgo daily housekeeping services will receive an electronic Disney Gift Card, with the Card’s value being determined by the length of the Guests’ stay.

With these new updates and features, the My Disney Experience App further enables Guests to start experiencing the Magic of their Disney vacations more quickly, while allowing them to customize their visits through the touch of their fingertips along the way.
