Disney+ has announced its debut in Western Europe, and it is a week earlier than previously scheduled.
On March 24, 2020, Disney fans in the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Austria and Switzerland will be able to access the streaming service for 5.99/6.99 euros per month, which is approximately $8 USD. A yearly subscription to Disney+ will cost 59.99/69.99 euros, or approximately $78 USD.
Other European nations, including Portugal, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden, are expected to welcome Disney+ later this summer.
During its first month of availability in the United States, the Disney streaming service app was downloaded over 22 million times and had over 9.5 million active daily mobile users. Disney+ original series such as The Mandalorian , High School Musical: The Musical and The Imagineering Story have already garnered a huge fan base, and as the streaming service continues to roll out internationally, the popularity of these shows and more will only continue to grow.
