On March 1, 2020, Disney’s Contemporary Resort at Walt Disney World will host “Purple Day Every Day’ in honor of Epilepsy Awareness. In its third year, the Epilepsy Expo at Disney’s Contemporary Resort will feature both morning and afternoon activities designed to educate the public about epilepsy and brain trauma. The event is sponsored by The Anita Kaufmann Foundation & The Epilepsy Association, whose website describes the goal of ‘Purple Day Every Day’ as an opportunity, through family fun, character meet-and-greets, giveaways and refreshments, “to present our guests with the most current information about epilepsy treatment and available resources.”
Following the day at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Guests can gather at dusk to watch as Epcot’s Spaceship Earth is lit in purple, the color associated with epilepsy awareness.
