As of today, all Disney owned Walt Disney World Resort hotels are now closed. The Swan and Dolphin are still open although only the Swan side is hosting guests.
This closure also extends to Disney’s Vero Beach Resort and Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort although, at this time, Aulani remains open with limited amenities.
Most hotel reservations can be canceled and rebooked online, and Disney is waiving all first-party (meaning Disney) change and cancellation fees up to the date of check-in for reservations with arrivals through June 30, 2020.
In addition, Disney is canceling all Walt Disney Travel Company hotel packages and Disney Resort hotel room-only reservations booked directly through Disney for arrivals between March 20, 2020, through March 31, 2020. Disney will process a refund to your method of payment, although please note that cancellation fees imposed by third-party suppliers, including airlines and rentals cars, as well as non-refundable products like travel protection plans will be deducted from refundable amounts for Walt Disney Travel Company packages.
We’ll keep you up to date.
Stay safe.
