Fans of VR, I’ve got some bad news, The VOID at Disney Springs has permanently closed. Employees at The VOID were informed of the closure last night.
The closure is still listed as temporary on the company’s website, but we assume that an official announcement isn’t far off.
The following message has been posted on The VOID’s website:
“
As much as we would like to take all of you to a safe Virtual World right now, we have to do our part in keeping each other safe from COVID-19.
COVID-19 is affecting all of us – as employees, travelers and communities – in a constantly evolving environment and in unprecedented ways. UPDATE: Our terminals are remaining temporarily closed for everybody’s safety and to support our local health officials and government leaders. We will continue to monitor the situation and update our travelers with our reopening plans as soon as possible.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and are here to help you reschedule any pre-booked tickets and offer an additional experience of your choosing. Please contact [email protected] to receive your credit toward an additional experience in lieu of a refund.
Please continue to follow federal, state, and local guidelines to remain safe and healthy.
Sincerely,
Your VOID Team“
