Disney has just announced that they will be raising the cost of U.S. Disney+ subscriptions by $1 beginning in March of 2021. This will bring the monthly cost of the service to $7.99.
Disney+’s new price is still lower than Netflix’s cheapest plan, which costs $8.99, and HBO Max’s price of $14.99 a month.
This price increase reflects the strong demand and growth of the service that was not previously expected and has been particularly pronounced due to the COVID-19 Pandemic that has forced most consumers into their homes, where they are more likely to be looking for new ways to entertain themselves.
