This downtime is being caused by an apparent AWS outage. AWS stands for Amazon Web Services, a system run by Amazon.com that is one major part of the backbone of the internet. It’s a service that is widely used across many industries.
Guests at Walt Disney World have noticed interruptions across Disney’s properties, from MagicBands not working to Mobile Ordering being unavailable.
This issue is completely out of Disney’s hands and its unknown when a fix will arrive, although it’s likely to be fixed in short order.
