Editor’s Note: A previous version of this article stated that no one was injured. That is incorrect, some Cast Members suffered from smoke inhalation and were taken to the hospital.
During the 10:30 PM performance of Fantasmic! at Disneyland last night, the Maleficent dragon caught fire, causing in the show to come to a premature end.
Disneyland official said that due to smoke and wind, all guests and attractions near Tom Sawyer’s Island, where the show takes place, were evacuated.
Disneyland officials say that all Cast Members, including show performers, on the island were evacuated. Some cast members were taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation
The Anaheim Fire Department responded and was quickly on the scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
