Disney Cruise Line has just released their holiday cruise plans for 2023 and the fall itineraries for 2024, promising to deliver a dash of magic on the high seas for families seeking memorable vacations.
Disney Cruise Line offers the ideal setting for families desiring a tropical holiday break. This year, the company has introduced two fresh entertainment experiences and dressed their iconic characters, including Goofy, Mickey Mouse, and Minnie Mouse, in festive outfits for their Very Merrytime Cruises. These added attractions are expected to fill the high seas with holiday spirit.

A highlight of the cruise will be a new tree lighting ceremony that will occur on the first night of all Very Merrytime sailings. This unique event will take place around the ship’s three-deck-tall tree in the atrium, featuring Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and Goofy leading the crowd in a sing-along to classic holiday tunes. The ceremony will also involve a special countdown that will illuminate the tree and welcome the honored guests of the cruise.
Furthermore, Disney Cruise Line has planned Mickey and Minnie’s Holiday Party, a new festive activity on the Very Merrytime sailings. This deck party will celebrate friendship, love, and family with a collection of traditional and original holiday songs.

The festive spirit extends beyond these entertainment offerings. Very Merrytime cruises will also showcase Disney characters in their new holiday attire, offer themed activities for all ages, and provide festive food and drink options. The ship will also be decorated with holiday decorations from bow to stern.
Holiday cruises in 2023 will sail from Florida and California, promising a unique holiday experience at sea for both adults and children.
In 2024, Disney Cruise Line will continue to bring holiday magic to its voyages. The company has announced that from mid-November to December 2024, cruises will be available from two home ports in Florida and a selection from Galveston, Texas.

Short holiday getaways will be offered, including three- and four-night Bahamian Very Merrytime voyages on the Disney Wish from Port Canaveral and four- and five-night cruises to The Bahamas and the Caribbean from Fort Lauderdale aboard the Disney Dream. The Disney Fantasy will set sail for The Bahamas on four-night Very Merrytime voyages and also offer longer cruises in November and late December.

Disney Cruise Line’s Halloween on the High Seas will also make a return in 2024, from mid-September through October. The Disney Wish and Disney Fantasy will host these themed cruises, offering a variety of cruises of different lengths from Port Canaveral, Florida. The Disney Magic will also join the fall 2024 lineup, departing from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, for three to five-night cruises to tropical locations in The Bahamas and Caribbean.

Beyond the festive-themed cruises, Disney Cruise Line is also set to embark on several special voyages in late 2024. The Disney Wonder will sail from Vancouver, Canada, to Honolulu, Hawaii, in late September, stopping at various Hawaiian Islands before heading on a transpacific voyage to Sydney, Australia. This unique itinerary will allow families to explore a variety of South Pacific destinations, such as Fiji, American Samoa, and New Caledonia.
Booking for the fall 2024 itineraries will open to the public on June 26, 2023, while reservations for the holiday sailings for 2023 are currently available.
