Hollywood, CA – In a groundbreaking announcement that has Star Wars fans across the galaxy buzzing with excitement, Lucasfilm revealed that the beloved duo from the hit Disney+ series “The Mandalorian” – the enigmatic Mandalorian and his endearing companion Grogu – are set to star in their own feature film.
The project, which is slated to go into production in 2024, will be directed by Jon Favreau, a name synonymous with revitalizing the Star Wars franchise on television. Favreau, who will also serve as a producer alongside Kathleen Kennedy and Dave Filoni, expressed his enthusiasm about the new venture. “I have loved telling stories set in the rich world that George Lucas created. The prospect of bringing the Mandalorian and his apprentice Grogu to the big screen is extremely exciting,” Favreau shared.
