With the busiest time of year at Walt Disney World yet to come, and Guests arriving in droves to join the Resistance, Disney plans to extend park hours yet again to accommodate the upcoming crowds at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Beginning tomorrow, December 12, the official park opening time will be 7:00 AM, an hour earlier than the previously announced 8:00 AM, and two hours earlier than the initial plan of 9:00 AM for the Rise of the Resistance grand opening. This new opening time of 7:00 AM is posted through December 21, but as Disney has needed to increase park hours multiple times already, it seem likely that the 7:00 AM opening might extend into the new year.
As Guests have been arriving to Disney’s Hollywood Studios well before those opening times since Rise of the Resistance debuted last week, the park actually has been quietly opening about 6:30 AM. With this in mind, Guests should still plan to arrive to the park no later than 6:00 AM, in order to get through the turnstiles and get a Boarding Group assignment for the attraction. Rise of the Resistance has begun loading each morning typically right at 7:00 AM.
Evening Extra Magic Hours were originally announced to be returning again in January, 2020 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, but there are now a few EMH December nights added to the park’s schedule as well:
