Walt Disney World Guests currently holding reservations between June 14-21 can now modify their reservations online or by phone. As Walt Disney World Resort hotels do not reopen until June 22, those existing reservations prior to that date will be automatically cancelled if not changed by Guests.
Guests due to check-in at Disney World Resorts on June 22 or later are not yet able to modify their stays in the WDW reservation system. Those Guests with Resort reservations between June 22 and July 4 can keep them, but during that time dining options will be limited and the Parks will remain closed. June 22 marks the reopening of Disney Vacation Club Resorts, which includes Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas, Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Beach Club Villas, Disney’s Boardwalk Villas, Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, Disney’s Old Key West, Disney’s Riviera Resort, Saratoga Springs, Boulder Ridge Villas and Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, and the Disney’s Polynesian Resort Villas and Bungalows. Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground will also reopen on June 22. Guests holding reservations for non-Vacation Club Resorts will have to change them to one of those listed above, paying the difference in price if applicable.
Although Disney first announced all other Disney Resorts would be open by July 11, when the Parks reopen, it quickly retracted that original statement. There have been no further updates on when the non-Vacation Club Resorts will be open for Guests.
The Parks, Resorts, restaurants, recreational activities and special events at Walt Disney World will all implement safety and cleanliness protocols as part of Disney’s phased reopening plans. In support of physical distancing and sanitary precautions, Guests can expect limited capacity and availability restrictions at many Walt Disney World experiences.
