A well-respected user of WDWMagic Forum recently posted that Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge, the newest DVC property proposed for Walt Disney World, has been either postponed or cancelled.
Although this claim has yet to be verified, it does seem likely that the newest DVC project would at least be delayed in the wake of the WDW closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic, as Disney monitors the recovery of the economy, and in particular, the timeshare market.
Further supporting this rumor is @bioreconstruct‘s post providing an aerial view of the Reflections‘ building site, which seems to show very little progress having been made on the DVC Resort following the halt of construction during the COVID shutdown.
BlogMickey.com points out that the light green areas seen in the photo appear to be seeding for new grass, which would seem odd on an active constuction site.
This is, of course, all speculation by Disney bloggers, as Walt Disney World has yet to officially comment on the status of the Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge project. As the concept art looks amazing for this Resort, this writer is truly hoping the work there will continue soon!
