Earlier today, Disney news sites began to post that restaurants in the France Pavilion at EPCOT might be closed for good. And they had good reason to think that.
Executive Director Eric Weistroffer painted a grim picture of the France pavilion. When asked if the restaurants would reopen, Weistroffer mused that the real question was if they would reopen.
Well, later today the article that originally quoted Mr. Weistroffer that most of the sites were quoting was updated, alleviating our fears.
The article was updated to say the following:
“Note: A previous version of this article featured a statement from Eric Weistroffer who jokingly questioned whether the France pavilion restaurants would reopen. JBI has every intention of reopening the restaurants when it is safe and reasonable to do so.”
So, it would seem that at this time the delicious restaurants in EPCOT’s version of France are safe and have every intention of reopening, eventually.
