White House Confirms No Restrictions Planned For Domestic Air Travel
Contrary to reports earlier this week that the White House was considering restricting domestic air travel to Florida, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki issued a statement today insisting that it currently has no such plans:
"No decisions have been made around additional public health measures that would change domestic travel."
The White House further maintained its stance in a statement today to Reuters, commenting that "the administration is continuing to discuss recommendations across the travel space, but no specific decisions are under consideration. "
These statements come in the wake of widely-expressed concern surrounding the rising number of cases in Florida of the highly-contagious, COVID-19 variant which originated in the U.K.
